Solon Brochado is a Brazilian account planner, focused on planning and building integrated and media-agnostic communication projects. Throughout his career, he has worked with global brands such as Google, Nike, Unilever, Pepsico, Mercedes-Benz as well as major Brazilian brands such as TV Globo, Bradesco and TAM Airlines.
As seems common with planners, Solon has an unique background, having studied Physics and Aeronautical Sciences before earning his Bachelor’s in Journalism. After working with digital media for four years in newspapers and news portals, in 2007 he eventually found his way to advertising. This unusual repertoire has helped him bring a fresh perspective to planning, and influences his work and decision making process.
Throughout his career, he has also maintained a steady production of journalism pieces for renowned Brazilian magazines such as Superinteressante and Capricho, worked as an English-Portuguese translator and transcreator for publishing companies and transcreation agencies, and served as a consultant for companies and agencies such as Y&R, Pong Dinasty/IPG and Fiesp (São Paulo’s Industry Federation).
Solon’s experience includes building and managing planning teams, developing agencies’ workflows, overseeing the development of integrated campaigns, digital and social media presences, customer outreach programs and more. His work has earned him recognition from international awards such as Cannes Lions, El Ojo de Iberamerica and The FWA, and been showcased in Luerzer’s Archive as well as Brazilian magazines and newspapers.
